The Building Department’s role is to provide service with regard to statutory building matters.

Building application fees: Increased from 1^st July 2010

Please be advised that the Builders Registration Board (BRB) have announced the following increase to fees and levies as from 1^st July 2010.

• BRB Levy $40 to $40.50 – paid with every building application licence approval.

• Owner Builders Fee from $124 to $126 – Paid direct to the Builders Registration Board.

• Shire minimum building licence fee                          $ 85.00

    plus (BRB) levy collected                                        $ 40.50

    for a total minimum fee of                                       $125.50

Information required for a CLASS 10A Building Licence Application 

Please note : GARDEN SHEDS smaller than 10m² do not require Shire approval.

Clause 4.12.1 of the Shire of Dardanup Town Planning Scheme No. 3 states: -

Erection of an outbuilding on a RESIDENTIAL zoned lot is not permitted unless a permit has already been issued for the erection of a house on the lot.
